Luminous

Well what can I say, this is Daniels best work to date, it's fantastic, the icons are beautiful and very clean with a sort of crisp new feel to them too. Over 200 icons added. You will find a lot of elements in Winterboard to adjust and play with including some iconomatic Overlays supplied by Romy (@Bacardi1985) and then tweaked by Daniel himself to get his touch onto it also settings icons are themed thanks to @Jato_BZ.  You will be shocked by this theme as it's a massive step in a new direction and what a brilliant step it is, Avril was a big shock to fans of iHaz3 as it was a different approach at mixing "dark" with a contemporary antique look, and Daniel has blown our socks off with this new theme, when some designers try a different direction it doesn't always work but in this instance it's working, and working very very well. It's beautiful to look at and a pleasure on the eyes too. I take my hat off to you Daniel as this is amazing. It has a beautiful logo and different loading screens which again shows a lighter side to iHaz3 but still keeping the sharpness in the logo. Check out the screenshots below then go to Cydia and buy it. Don't pirate any themes or tweaks please. Support the Devs.

SumwaZ

Today I'm bringing to you a review of the theme SumwaZ, first off wow, it's very different from other themes out there. Some would say the design is quite wacky, on some levels I'd agree, but then I think it's a major breathe of fresh air, the iconomatic themes are brilliant, some add massive amounts of gradient and depth and plenty of shadow thrown in. Each icon has been designed from scratch, with out going overboard on the icon design @Svink77 has managed to create something unique and quirky and something you can tell has a lot of his personal character inside this theme. Also managing to bring us some beautiful UI elements which again sit perfectly in what @Svink77 has created with the icons. With all the iconomatic themes included you will always be changing the set up of your springboard, which if your a true theme fan you'll love doing anyway. This a fantastic "Different" theme, and the "Different" is a major bonus here. It's live in the Cydia Store now. If your a true fan of art you'll already have it. Don't forget to check out screenshots below.

7hemis

Today I am doing a review for a great theme, 7hemis by @ulysseleviet is a great theme, it comes with 3 icon colours, 3 UI colours and a few more iconomatic themes, as well as wallpapers and a colourkeyboard theme and not forgetting a Jellylock theme, you get a lot with this theme, and guess what? It's free, yes you read it right I said "Free". It's truly breathtaking that you get all this inside a package that is free. It's got quite an edgey look to the theme, and whether your in a "dark" mood or "light" mood you will find something inside this package that will compliment both your mood and your iPhone/iPod. Also included is settings icons, big thanks to @Jato_BZ for bringing us this element of theme to iOS 7. Some of the UI is also themed as well as UI sounds. You get a lot of uniquely designed icons with this theme, and such care and attention to detail is apparent with both Stock, Appstore and Cydia icons, it's wonderful that this theme is so full of character and detail and it's free. This is a stunning theme and be sure to check the screenshots below and if you really like it consider donating to @ulysseleviet.

Gliese

Today I bring you the beautiful Gliese by @Cjmanning, and yet again Cj has delivered us another instant classic. When you look at it on your springboard you will see some hints of T1tan inspiration, and why not, T1tan was a big theme and instant hit in the Jailbreak community. Gliese has been painstakingly designed, each icon is a delight to look at, superb detail in each one, from the stock icons to both Appstore apps and Cydia apps. Inside Winterboard you will find plenty of elements to choose from, everything from respring logos right down to some brilliant and funny Tweetbot icons, and not forgetting Iconomatic themes, which let's face it "everyone should have Iconomatic installed", as it makes the icons come alive again. Gliese manages to mix serious designing with fun, I was and still am a massive fan of T1tan as I now am of Gliese, this theme goes to show that you can still have fun with designing themes and that you can create smooth yet brilliantly designed icons which are just a pleasure to look at. Yet again Cj has released a classic theme that we will all remember. It's available in Cydia now for iPhones, go get it, your eyes will thank you for giving them such beauty to look at.

3 4 ALL

I thought I'd give this theme a review as it's not often that you come across such a nice theme for free. 3 4 All is made by @Sk37cHi, this is the second icon set/theme he has brought us to date, the first was 4 You 2 which coincidentally was free also. It's a beautiful set up, the icons are lovely and made and designed so well, the thing I love about this theme (I call it a theme due to some UI elements themed) is that is doesn't try to be serious, it's fun and you can see the fun Luke had in designing the icons, they are a joy to look at it and each time you look you'll notice another beautifully yet fun designed icon. This "FREE" theme is updated regularly bringing new icons and when Iconomatic came out it was updated to give us a iconomatic theme. This theme is available on iPads and iPhones and it is a theme I have stored on all my iDevices (even my fiancĂ©e likes it on her iPad) at all times so I can just flick it on when I feel like I need to smile, and that's what this theme does in bundles, makes you feel happy. It's superb and if you like consider donating to Luke. Go get it guys, it's free and fun, 2 words that don't often get put together. Check out the screenshots below.

Avanti.

Avanti is the latest creation from ZFrost (@arctickcreations), and it's a stunner, so beautiful and clean. It comes with Normal, Glass and Black icon options, as well as iconomatic shadows and overlays. Avanti is some what different in design to what we've seen from ZFrost in the past, it's very minimalistic yet beautifully detailed, it's got such a clean feel and look to it. One of the things I love is the logo, it's striking, it grabs your eyeballs and draws you to it. The design is yet again not overdone but beautifully created and very minimal. The logo has been incorporated into the wallpapers and a delightful respring logo. There is also some UI elements that have been themed. With plenty of options you can still add your own touch to your iPhone with this theme with different elements inside Winterboard. It's a step in a different direction from previous themes like 0dyssey and 0-Hour to name a few. I was lucky enough to jump on the beta repo which was also majorly supported by @MamaJaay. Check out the screenshots below and go grab your copy from Cydia.

AvrilHD

Early yesterday morning we saw the release of AvrilHD by iHaz3 on all formats, and at first look you'll see that Daniel has strayed to far away from his dark theme making, the effect you can see on the icons kind of gives you and old antique feel to it but at the same time keeps the dark feel that we come to expect from Daniel. We've seen 2 themes from Daniel in the same amount of weeks, it makes you wonder if he sleeps at all. As always there is plenty of elements to choose inside Winterboard, 5 colours for badges, 2 docks 4 shadows a jellylock theme and a WhatsApp theme, so there is plenty of customisation still to be had. Avril-HD is named after one Daniels daughters which is a nice gesture and also why this theme and Nova-HD are very special to him. The texture and look of the icons is a delight on the eyes and I for one love the look it gives me on my iPhone and iPad, I think this theme has reminded us all just what iHaz3 can do, and what he does best. Also included in the package are 2 ColourKeyboard themes as well and a bitesms theme and wallpapers both light and dark and also some UI is themed and also the statusbar is themed too. I think we will all agree that this is some of his best work. The theme is compatible on all formats iPhone/iPod/iPad and iPad mini, so you'll be able to use it on all your devices which is a real nice touch, it gives you a sense of value for money. This theme is definitely my favourite theme from Daniel and I look forward to many more. Check out the screen shots below and I guarantee you'll fall in love with it.

Auxo 2

Today we saw the release of Auxo 2 for iOS 7 from the guys at A3tweaks, and "Wow" what an epic comeback for Auxo, it's mix of  control centre and multitask is superb. It just makes the multitask window so much more interactive, you can now pull down on a selected open app and it will give you a preview of the selected app. When you swipe up all the apps sit neatly behind each other and it gives you a toggle to close all open apps. I like how it puts the Control Centre toggles at the top as to not over crowd the springboard whilst Auxo is in action. I've posted a couple of pictures below to give you an idea of how the tweak looks and works, I think it will be a big hit, I wondered how Auxo would fit into iOS 7 and the guys have done a fantastic job of integrating Auxo into iOS 7. If you purchased Auxo then you only pay less than $1 to upgrade, which in my mind is totally worth it, it's a major change and a good one too. Auxo 2 is only compatible with iPhones at the moment although iPad compatibility is coming in version 1.1. Do check that you don't have anything installed that does not play nice with Auxo 2.

Elza

Today Elza by @MTK_Des1gn (Twitter) was released, and I must say it's good. A lot of detail in the icons and some nice UI touches, it has quite a classy and glossy feel about it's design, and the Developer has dedicated it to his wife, hence the name Elza. One of my favourite icons has to be the Tweetbot icon, mainly because I was a big fan of robocop when I was younger, there has been a lot of brilliant variations of the famous Tweetbot icons but this is one of my favourites, you can still see the Tweetbot underneath but you really get the Robocop feel with the mask over the top and across the eyes.

The theme has several elements inside Winterboard, also has the option of widgets in separate packages available inside Cydia, also Zeppelin logos and HomeScreen Layouts, and Foldericons (although foldericons doesn't play nice with ARM64 devices). And also has retina wallpapers available too. This theme is compatible on all Devices both Retina and non Retina. Another fine example of  design at its best.

Winterboard

I don't think any of us were ready for the release of  evasi0n 7 back in December of last year, and neither were a lot of the developers out there, not even Jay Freeman (@saurik) was ready for the new jailbreak utility, and as a result Substrate or Winterboard wasn't prepared for ARM64 devices, it didn't seem to affect users on older devices as Substrate and Winterboard and a few other tweaks seemed to be working, although some did report having issues. Jay did bring us a new Substrate for ARM 64 devices, Cydia Substrate. Winterboard did take a bit longer to get working, and although Jay did get it working for us, it soon became apparent that theming would never be quite the same again. I for one was disappointed at the thought of not having my iDevices looking awesome as they have done in the past, but in a way I think this was the turning point in the Jailbreak community, the developers and designers had to really challenge themselves and new techniques and relationships began to shine through, the designers started really pushing the capabilities of theme making on iOS 7, and some Devs really started to shine as they found ways to bypass the new icon layout of  iOS 7. In the last few months we've seen great tweaks like Iconomatic bring back depth and shadowing to our springboards.

We are really starting to see just how well Devs and designers are able to adapt to changes that Apple makes with each new iOS software. Some beautifully crafted and well thought out themes have come out since the start of the year. I for one look forward to new themes coming out all the time and I'm a frequent user of themes in beta stages, it's good to get a feel for themes and to watch them grow and change. In my opinion Iconomatic really saved the look of themes on iOS 7, yes it has had problems, but nothing 'new' never goes smoothly to start, and with the power the tweak has it's bound to have teething issues. This tweak is still free and a paid "Pro" version will be arriving soon. I look forward to that.

Intro

Hi everyone, I bring to you my new blog, I will be bringing some new reviews on apps, themes and tweaks from the jailbreak world, not only from the jailbreak world but from Apples AppStore also. I hope you all enjoy my blog and I look forward to receiving feed back from you all. Stay tuned guys and girls, I'm hoping this will all be up and running by the weekend.
